School FundraiserGetting a College Degree from an online school is easier than you'd think!A school fundraiser is a creative means of raising money for a student program or activity. Schools have a variety of athletic programs and after school extra-curricular activities. These are perfect for students with special talents. Unfortunately, school programs are costly. For the most part, donations contribute largely to keeping a program running. Occasionally, donations are not enough. In this case, program leaders, students, and parents must brainstorm ways to generate extra funds. A school fundraiser is one such method. Everyone is likely familiar with a type of school fundraiser. On average, schools have several fundraisers each year. When selecting a particular fundraiser, schools may choose to collaborate with another company, or plan a school-sponsored fundraiser. School fundraisers that involve collaborating with a host company are the most popular. These types of fundraisers generally consist of full student participation. The school and host company provide students with a catalog of items. Merchandise to be sold might include holiday gift wrapping, magazines, sweat treats, chocolate, and so forth. Students receive orders by showing the catalog to parents and family members. The school and host company earn money by dividing the profits. For example, the host company may receive 35% of all sales, whereas the school retains 65% of all sales. To encourage student participation, a school fundraiser will often offer prizes to the top selling students. A school fundraiser does not necessarily require an outside partner company. Rather, the school or individual program may choose to sponsor their own fundraiser. For example, the students could host a bake sale or flea market. Arranging these types of fundraisers are very inexpensive. The students can use the school’s property, and prepare foods for the bake sale themselves. Moreover, some schools have hosted carnivals in an effort to raise money. A carnival school fundraiser will involve outsourcing for games, rides, and other attractions. However, the school can propose a split-profit, in which both parties benefit. |
