Some pharmacy schools may differ in the terming of the degree but they all involves two years of basic sciences and two years specializing in pharmacy theory and practice. The pharmacy schools also have their individual requirements for undergraduate coursework. As with any other course of education, you will need to make preparations well in advance before applying to different pharmacy schools. Attending career fairs or talking with the student career counselor might help you get off to a good start in your preparations. A good grasp of science is essential for pursuing a career as a pharmacist. Hence it is important that the courses you take during your undergraduate studies lean more towards science. A variety of affordable loan repayment options and programs are available to students these days. Employment contracts are a recent trend which has made education more accessible. Here, various companies pay tuition for a year or two in return for an employment commitment from the student. This proves beneficial to both parties — the student is freed from financial worries during the course of study and does not have to run around seeking employment while the employer can rest easy knowing it has secured employee loyalty. |
