High School CheerleadersOnline college courses are availible in almost every field! If you’ve always wanted to be a cheerleader but never thought you could make the squad, you’ve already eliminated yourself from achieving your dream. High school cheerleaders are known for their enthusiasm, positive outlook, and energy. If you want to be a cheerleader, you will need to begin by believing in yourself. Creating the vision of what you want to achieve, planning a course of action that will enable you to reach your goal, and working diligently every day to achieve your dream, are the key ingredients that all high school cheerleaders have in common. To become a cheerleader, you will need to train your mind, your body, and even your spirit to think positively, to work hard, and to practice. Along with a great self-image and positive outlook, high school cheerleaders also need to train for their sport. You will need to work on stunts, jumps, and basic cheerleading moves to make the squad. These may take time to learn, but with regular and steady practice, you can do it. If you apply yourself, you can overcome any obstacle in your way and reach your dreams. The first thing that you can do to help increase your positive outlook may seem simple, but it is very effective- smile. That’s right, you should begin smiling. Don’t just smile when you are auditioning either, (though judges love that), by try smiling often, even when you don’t feel like it. The more you smile and laugh, the happier you will be. Soon, joy and energy will radiate from you and you will be the true definition of a “cheer leader”. High school cheerleaders also need to have self-discipline, a strong mental focus, and diligence. There is much more to being a cheerleader than many people imagine. At first, people assume that high school cheerleaders are just pretty girls that don’t have many other activities in their lives. However, being a cheerleader requires lots of hard work, and you will have to be willing to train yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually. Finally, believe in yourself and you will be amazed at the things that you can accomplish. Most judges and coaches are looking for high school cheerleaders who believe that they can do anything. Never say that you can’t make a jump or perform a split. Always say that you will try. As long as you work hard and try, you will reach your dreams. |
