Free School SuppliesGetting a college degree online can be done in your free time!Free school supplies are like a dream come true for many needy children. Many teachers donate close to $650.00 out of their own pocket to provide free school supplies to some of their students. There are organizations that try to help these teachers by matching them up with donors, or creating web sites that lists of donated free school supplies. Some non-profit organizations have organized Adopt a School programs to help obtain free school supplies. One such program has supplied over a million dollars worth of free school supplies to over two hundred schools. Sometimes free school supplies are donated from the local businesses in communities. Another successful method of obtaining free school supplies comes from teaching very young children in pre-school and elementary classes about recycling learning materials. Some areas have a traveling donation site that accepts free school supplies such as back packs, three-hole loose leaf paper, pencils, pens, books, printer paper and so forth. A very ingenious organization even collects, sorts and stores materials that have been rejected for sales purposes from manufacturing companies, making them available as free school supplies. They even deliver the free school supplies directly to schools. Large stores annually donate millions of dollars worth of school supplies to schools in their neighborhoods. Of course, it’s almost to be taken for granted that people from all over the country chip in and donate free school supplies to children who have been victims of natural disasters. One New England community organized a drive and collected and shipped over 8000 pounds of free school supplies that served the needs of over 2000 needy children. School counselors and social workers work with children and become aware of their individual needs for free school supplies. Communities as a whole know the value of education and work whole heartedly to organize drives to provide free school supplies to needy children. More needs to be done, as free school supplies really make the difference in some children receiving an education. |
