Bartending SchoolLearn about college degree programs - FREE INFO!In today’s world, there are a host of new and lucrative career choices popping up every day. The job of a bartender is also one which falls into this category. What makes it even more appealing is perhaps the fact that it is an evening job which leaves the mornings free for the pursuit of other opportunities. If you feel that bartending is the way to go, there are a host of bartending schools to choose from all over the country. Attending a bartending school helps you find better placement than you would if you did not have any formal training in the field. Some research will help you come up shortlist the ideal bartending school. You are more likely to find a bartending school closer to home if you live in states such as California, Nevada or Florida. Completing an education at a bartending school will make you eligible for a certificate based upon the kind of institution you attend. A course at a bartending school will equip with all that you need to know as a bartender at a trendy restaurant, a hip nightclub or at a friend’s party. Bar setup, bar ingredients, mixing and blending drinks, customer service and job hunting tips are but some of the things you will master at a bartending school. Most certifications require you to complete at least 40 hours of concentrated training. Many of the schools also help students in finding initial placements at reputed establishments. Most such schools have frequent enrollment opportunities so you may not need to wait for a particular month to begin your new career. Hourly wages can be in the range of $15 to $25 based on the region and the establishment. Part-time bartenders might work about 15 to 20 works per week with earnings of $300 to $600. This would, of course, be exclusive of the tips that one might expect to earn from patrons. |
